Warrington Wolves continue to support PINNT and HAN Week
 
In August 2023, Warrington Wolves proudly hosted the filming of a video to support people who are dependent on having a feeding tube or intravenous catheter, through which they receive life-saving nutrition. These treatments are needed because the way in which most people eat and drink, via the oral route, is compromised. The equipment used is often new to many people, so PINNT developed a Medical Tag which is attached to the medical rucksack to #verify the contents is genuine medical equipment. People using it are not seeking special treatment, they want to be part of the crowd.
 
Along with PINNT, Warrington Wolves were keen to encourage anyone who needs these treatments to be part of normal activities, especially where it involves being part of a community that provides respite an outlet from their conditions and treatments and allows them to be part of the crowd.
 
The video has been a great success and continues to inspire people needing these treatments to have their medical nutrition in a place and at a time that works for them.
 
In 2024, Warrington Wolves are once again supporting HAN Week, 5–11 August 2024. Here we see Moira Kallis, who is a valued member of the PINNT Medical Tag team, together with Matt Dufty (left) and Sam Burgess, Head Coach of Warrington Wolves (right). Sam Burgess has had personal experience of a relative needing a feeding tube due to motor neurone disease (MND).
 
There are other members of the Warrington Wolves family who have first-hand experience of a child who has a tube feeding.
