Please do not panic; a small number of people have noticed leaks on the upgraded syringes.

We have responded to members concerns:

• PINNT has contacted BD (the manufacturers) regarding reports of leaks from under the new plunger.
• We suggest that anyone experiencing this should report it to their homecare company and provide the batch number.
• In addition to this please inform your own team/healthcare professionals who should be the ones to offer advice on your procedures.
• We can confirm that BD has not issued any communication regarding changes to practice or use of the product.


• Hopefully we will be in a position to update you all as soon as we can.
  
  In the meantime, as with all the equipment you use, take time to check it as you carry out your procedures and report anything you feel is different or not quite right.
