PINNT appoints Rhonda Smith as the charity s
Public Relations Consultant.
PINNT, the charity and support group for adults and children receiving artificial nutrition therapies,
has appointed Rhonda Smith and her company Minerva Health Care Communications Ltd,
as its public relations agency.
Rhonda Smith and Minerva will raise further awareness and understanding of the charity and the valuable work it does with both the public and healthcare professionals, and drive the development of local support groups across the UK. Increasing charitable income through grants, voluntary donations and fundraising efforts will also be stimulated through these public relations activities.
Richard Shawyer, Vice Chair of PINNT, says: Despite limited resources, PINNT already has a number of local groups and volunteers around the country providing the welcome and practical support that can ensure a positive transition onto and experience of artificial nutrition for patients of all ages. However, we need more volunteers and groups to help meet the growing need and demand, plus the financial resources to run the groups. I am confident that our expanded public relations activity, to be handled by our highly experienced appointment, will contribute positively to achieving our goals.
Rhonda Smith has over 20 years public relations experience working with charities and not for profit organisations primarily in the fields of health and care. Recent briefs have covered the issues of dementia, malnutrition, life story work, sheltered housing and early nutrition programming. Rhonda founded her independent company Minerva five years ago and is based in north-west Hampshire.
More information on PINNT, its activities and local groups, and how to make a donation are available on the charity s website

where complimentary membership is also currently available.
