Having your voice heard in Scotland on Complex Nutritional Care Standards
Healthcare Improvement Scotland is looking for your feedback on the draft standards for Complex Nutritional Care.
Following on from the publication of the Food, Fluid and Nutritional Care Standards in October 2014, Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) has commenced work on creating draft and final standards for Complex Nutritional Care. We will be undertaking an eight week consultation phase due to commence on the 1st July when the draft standards are published on our website.
During the consultation phase we will be looking to engage with the relevany professional groups, from front line staff, voluntary organisations and health service users to ask for feedback on the standards.
We are holding the consultation meetings to:
Introduce the draft standards and their purpose
Gain feedback on the standards (have we got them right? Have we missed anything?
What is important to patients/families/ carers who are undergoing compex nutritioinal care?
Listen to individual experiences of patients using the service.
Between Healthcare Improvement Scotland and our friends at PINNT we are hoping that we will be able to arrange a suitable date, time and venue for you to attend and provide your feedback on the draft standards. All reasonable expenses incurred by attendees will be et by Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
If you are unable to attend a consultation meeting or would prefer to submit comments on the draft standards you will be able to find our consultation feedback form on the Healthcare Improvement Scotland website and submit your comments once the draft standards have been published.
At the end of the consultation period, all comments will be collated and the short-life working group will respond to each comment received on the draft standards. The response will explain how the comments were taken into account in producing the final standards. A summary of the responses to the consultation will be made available on the Healthcare Improvement Scotland website www.healthcareimprovementscotland.org
