HAN 2016 Patient Stories
Call for support!
Home Artificial Nutrition (HAN) Awareness Week is rapidly approaching and PINNT need your help to get the real message of what life is like on Artificial Nutrition (Enteral and Parenteral nutrition).
HAN awareness week aims to provide the true picture of what it is like to be on artificial nutrition and the best way to do this is to showcase people’s real life stories
Each year we share patient stories and this year is no different – therefore we need you!
Ideally we can get a cross-section of those on artificial nutrition – adult, child, enteral and parenteral.
There is not much that you need to do really, simply explain your journey on artificial nutrition, including information such as:
· Your condition
· Why you need artificial nutrition
· The challenges you face in your daily life due to managing your condition and treatment
· Things you have achieved since starting on your treatment
That kind of thing – it’s your story so you do it in any style you like; informative, funny, heart-felt, whatever you feel is appropriate to your story.
Below is a link to see some of the stories we have used in previous years to give you an idea of what we are looking for.
This is your opportunity to support the raising of the patient/carer voice in the public health arena which is so important and can have a real beneficial impact on the healthcare guidance.
Sharing your stories really does make a difference to the lives of so many others, particularly those starting out on life at home on artificial nutrition – so please do get in touch.
If you would like to discuss this in more detail please get in touch with Steve Brown at email@example.com
